What’s In My Makeup Bag?

I don’t usually bring a makeup bag whenever I go but when I do, I just bring the makeup and tools that I usually use. I don’t even know why I carry a makeup bag when I don’t really bother to check myself out when I’m already outside but just to be safe, I carry it around with me. You’ll never know if it’s really hot out there and you’re sweating a lot or you forgot that you have eyeshadow or eyeliner on and you rubbed your eyes. So better be safe than looking like a raccoon or a pale sickly person.

I also use these products for my everyday makeup look. So what’s in my makeup bag? Here it is.

L’OREAL PARIS MAT MAGIQUE ALL IN ONE// This is what I apply first. I don’t really use foundation so this powder is enough for me. It lasts for a day and it’s good at doing it’s job to keep my face from being oily.

ELF HD BLUSH// This has been the best blush I have used so far. I own the shade called superstar. It’s cream blush and the container has a little pump. A little of it goes a long way. It’s very pigmented so a bottle can last for a long time. What I do is I pump just a dot of blush, dab using my stippling brush and apply it on my cheeks. The color I got is just right for my skin tone. Not too light, not too dark.

NAKED BASICS URBAN DECAY// This is my all time favorite eyeshadow palette. It comes in natural tones from white to shades of brown to black.

MAYBELLINE GEL LINER or ELF LIQUID EYELINER// There are some days when I feel like it’s easier to use one of them but when I want a thick eyeliner, I usually go for the Maybelline but if I want a not too dramatic one and if I’m in a hurry, I would use the Elf eyeliner. Both of them are great though.

IN2IT LASH DEFINE MASCARA// I love this mascara since I don’t think it dries and it doesn’t clump easily. It also does a great job to make my lashes long and curvy.

EYELASH CURLER// But my lashes are gonna be more dramatic if I use this along with the mascara.

ELF EYEBROW KIT// This is one of my latest purchase. I kind of got the wrong shade. I didn’t know that it’s available in shades. I picked the light one and it’s not really visible or maybe I just don’t know how to use it yet cuz when my cousin used it on me, it looks okay. I want to have the darker one though.

NYX LIP LACQUER IN CORAL or NYX MATTE LIPSTICK IN TEA ROSE// If I wanted to have a natural fresh look, I usually go for the lip lacquer but I also use the lipstick sometimes too.

You got the ELF eyebrow kit! 😀 I found that the Dark shade is perfect for my now black hair. I use the wax side if I want a more natural look and then use both if I want a more made-up look.

Yeah I got it! 🙂 I love ELF cuz it’s cheap and I like the quality of their product. So the wax side is the same for all shades??

This post inspires me to go to the department store and hoard makeup! My makeup bag only consists of a Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm, an Avon lip balm and an Etude House cheek tint. I actually don’t use powder on a regular basis since I don’t like it when it gets cakey on my face. My face is a oil mine 99% of the time!

If ever you still haven’t tried Revlon’s line of Colorburst Matte Balm, then I highly recommend it to you! I hope someday you can give them a try. I swear you won’t be disappointed. Also, are the NYX Matte lipsticks long-lasting on the lips?

I actually have a Revlon colorburst as shown in the photo but it’s not matte. I’m gonna look for matte ones. Thank you! 🙂 The Nyx one is great but it doesn’t really last long in my opinion.

woo so many great products. I wonder what matte lipstick in tea rose looks like. I don’t usually put on make up unless I’m going to a party or somewhere important thats why I dont carry my make up bag 🙂

Tea rose Nyx looks like a mauve-y color. I really like it. I don’t wear makeup when I work but I wear lipstick when I’m with friends or just hanging out.

I use the same powder as well! I actually don’t bring a make up bag, I’ve managed to cut down my bag necessities to just 2-3 items.

I sometimes don’t too since I don’t really check out myself when I’m out but sometimes it’s handy. The powder is great right?

Most of the products are cheap especially the elf ones. Others are given to me as a gift and the one that’s most expensive is the Naked palette. But it’s worth it 🙂

I used to own the e.l.f. brow kit, but somehow never figured out how to make it work on me. After two or three tries, I threw it away. :/

One thing I realized about the Elf kit is that it is great for outlining your eyebrow so it looks more defined. And then I use a different brow product to fill in because their lightest color is too dark for me. Doesn’t look natural anymore. You’re lucky yu have thick brows!! 🙁 :))

I carry with me lipstick and powder all the time, if my foundation doesn’t hold strong, I can easily strengthen it up with a little bit of powder, carrying an entire bag full of stuff is a problem for me because i don’t have a bag anyway, just a little purse and that’s all.
