Versatile Blogger Award

I was nominated by Corinth of Explore with Corinth for this blogger award. Thank you! This is a perfect chance for me to write facts about me that you probably might not know yet.

RULES:

  • Thank the person who nominated you
  • Include a link to their blog
  • Tell the person who nominated you 7 facts about you
  • Select 15 blogs/bloggers that you have recently discovered or follow regularly

7 FACTS ABOUT ME:

1. I both have a sweet tooth and a sour tooth. I love everything sweet from candies to chocolates to cakes! The only fruits I like are the ones that are sour like green mangoes, santol, pomelo, anything that I can eat with salt or any condiments basically.

2. I can’t go to the bathroom without anything to read. I would usually bring along a magazine with me or a book, sometimes even encyclopedias with pictures on it, or my phone. When I really need to go there quick, I would just grab a bottle of shampoo and read the label. Haha anything I can get with words on it, really.

3. I get anxious a lot. As a kid, I have a fear of answering the phone and commuting alone. I got over it eventually but I still do get anxious sometimes especially over new situations. Even calling the doctor and making appointments for myself is stressful enough. It’s weird when I don’t get anxious doing this for other people but I get nervous doing this for myself. I do it anyway because the key is to face it until you get used to it.

4. I have an interest in astrology. I follow astrology blogs on Tumblr and would often read stuff about my sign which is Libra. When I like someone, I would usually check if we’re compatible or not based on our signs. It’s just fun to know more about myself and other people through astrology. Most of the time, the things I read is pretty accurate.

5. The fictional character that I resemble the most is Isla from Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins. She’s shy, a bookworm, a hopeless romantic, has self esteem issues, and she’s short. We even have similar blurbs in our mind. Here are some of the lines from the book that I can totally relate to:

6. I love traveling so much but I don’t get to do it as much as I would want to.  My dream job as a child was a flight stewardess. I was tall for my age back then. I was the tallest in class but when 6th grade began, I was the shortest. I just stopped growing. I know, it sucks.

7. My favorite season is autumn. I haven’t experienced it yet but I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll soon move to a country with 4 seasons and I’ll finally feel what’s it like walking with trees covered in orange and red leaves, wearing sweaters everyday, getting cozy and warm while reading a good book and all those fall-y things.

Hi Allisa! I’m happy to have found your blog! By the way, I could relate to item #7. I love autumn too, although I haven’t experienced it yet. To live in a foreign country is a dream. 🙂

Hi Allisa! I can relate with your 1, 3, and 7. I also really hate answering the phone and commuting. With commuting, I hate it when people look at you as you give your fare and the phone thing, there are always awkward moments. Like you don’t know what to say next. All I can think about is how to end it. Haha! Do you get that, too?

And those quotes from Isla.. I usually don’t read books but those quotes speak to me right now. Thanks for the share! :))

I hate commuting cuz it’s a hassle and yeah, I can totally relate. Telephone conversations are just as awkward as personal encounters plus you can’t read people’s expressions.

If you can relate to the quotes, go read the book now 🙂

Becoming a flight stewardess was my dream for a long time. Then I realized they make a terrible salary and don’t get to really enjoy the places they fly to – sad! And the reading on the toilet had me laughing (but I totally relate).

Haha! Sometimes the bathroom can be the only private moment for some people. I know someone who’s a flight stewardess and it look fun traveling to and from Europe to Asia. It seems tiring though. I wonder how much her pay is

Number 2!!! Haha. I can relate so much to that. I read everything that’s at the back of something not only in the bathroom. LOL.

Number 3 omg!!! I’ve improved over the years but I still avoid talking to salesladies, call center agents (for fastfood deliveries haha), or whoever for as long as I don’t need to =))) glad to know I’m not the only one!!!!

Exactly! I would rather text them than call for deliveries. Haha. It’s weird. I have no problem calling the doctors at the hospital for patients but I have problems when it comes to myself.

Numbers 1 & 3. I still get anxious A-LOT. Despite that there are things that makes me feel nervous or there are just instances that I am not confident of doing I still make it to a point that I try to surpass all of that to lessen anxiety. It is just helpful. But sometimes, there are just times that you can’t seem face and try one way or the other and the fact about that is making one anxious again. Hahaha.

Not thinking about it too much helps for me. Like, listening to happy music or talk to someone and have fun over the phone or whatever, just to take my mind off it. Most of the time it helps 🙂

#4 SO ME! I check my daily/weekly/monthly horoscope just to see what might happen (though I’m not superstitious at all, haha!). The best part is to check yesterday’s horoscope; you can see if the things they said were true or not.

I don’t check the horoscopes, I’m more interested on knowing someone’s personality based on their zodiacs. 🙂 It helps understanding people. Sometimes I check it though when I come across it.

I LOVE autumn too! We don’t have it for long, only for a month and then winter comes. We don’t have “real orange leaves” too but some fallen crispy yellow leaves.
