It’s Just Us and the Sea

It was several months ago since the last day I stopped working at the hospital but that doesn’t mean that we have to stop talking to each other. We still do. We weren’t only co- workers. We’re all friends. The idea that we have been planning for a long time finally came true: to go to Guimaras, make new adventures and memories.

First stop is this new inland resort called Woodland. We placed our bags in a hut we rented for the night. It looks like a small bahay kubo with a rest room and electricity. The place was huge! It doesn’t have a beach but it has two pools, a restaurant, a mango farm, a bike trail, and lots of space to roam around.

It also has a fish spa pond. We tried that first before we ate our lunch. The pool was so inviting but we have to go to another resort to do island hopping! It wasn’t my first time in Guimaras but the places we went to, I have never been there before so it was really exciting for me.

Off to another resort. We were greeted by warm wind and sparkling waters as we head over to the boat. We stopped at some of the islands. Went inside a cave, played with white sand on a tiny island with a sandbar, and happy conversations in between while riding on a small boat.

Our view from one of the island that we climb.

One of the highlight of the day was the cliff diving. I was too scared to try so I offered to take photos and videos of them jumping instead. I wish I did though. Maybe someday. This was funny because the person who is the most excited to do this is the last one to jump because of fear. Well, at least she jumped! 🙂

We went to another resort after the boat ride. It was beautiful too but it’s not as developed as the others yet. We took photos instead. We didn’t bring any snacks or even water and we were famished. The sun was about to set too so we headed back to Woodland. We had fun swimming at the pool, and going on slides like little kids. We had the pool to ourselves, it was dark and was drizzling but we had a great time. Sadly we had to say goodbye to some because they still have work.

We spent the rest of the night drinking, playing monopoly and laughing non stop at some of the photos we took and memories we relieved. We slept with smiles in our faces. It’s time to part the next day and it was bittersweet. We don’t know when we’ll see each other again but for sure, there’s gonna be a next time. Where? Who knows? Maybe it’s in the mountains. Maybe the sea again. As long as we’re together.

I’ve always wanted to go to Guimaras. Too bad I wasn’t able to go there during my trip to Iloilo in 2014. Oh well, maybe someday. ?

Oh just traveled to iloilo together with my friends earlier this month! Guimaras was our first stop, it’s a nice place. The one the I really loved was the Guisi lighthouse. The sun was close to setting when we got there and it was amazing 😀 I hope we explored the place more, I would love to try to cliff dive! Wasn’t able to do that in Isla de Gigantes 🙁 I was too afraid! lol

The only time that I get to travel to far places was with friends and I enjoy being with them, a perfect way to get rid of stress from work 😀 great pics by the way. Looks like you really enjoyed your time with each other.

Came here from Mei’s blog btw. Looking for new blogs to read as I’m trying to get back to blogging once again, hope you could visit my blog if you have time 🙂 i just launched it haha. Looking forward to reading more posts, and I will include you on my blog list page. I hope that’s ok 🙂

The place looks nice and relaxing! And the resort has the same name as the town I’m living in. LOL sorry, that’s a very random thing to say.

These locations are so calming and beautiful. Times spent with friends are TOTALLY priceless. It reminds me of all the high school picnics I got to with my friends. They were so memorable.

It’s always nice to go out with your colleagues. I’ve also gone to a trip with my friends at work, and we even organized team outing last year. Supervisors and managers came with us 🙂 What I like at work is that people are not only colleagues, but also friends and family. 🙂

I hope to visit Guimaras too! We have a friend/colleague who’s from Iloilo who kept on telling us to visit the province and he’ll gladly welcome us at his home haha we actually planned to go last year but our schedules never match. So maybe this year or next year, hopefully.

Going on trips with co workers are great especially when your work involves collaboration and team work. It makes your relationship better and it ables you to do your job well. Hope you’ll go there soon. Experience the island life 🙂

such a great adventures with friends, yes friends. I like how you spent your night, drinking and playing monopoly. Speaking of that, I have the star wars monopoly but i left it in davao 🙁 I want this kind of adventures, with real friends. It’s nice that your co workers are still your friends, even if you don’t work there anymore.
