Back when I was blogging on Tumblr, this used to be my monthly series but surprise, surprise! I didn’t do it regularly and totally forgot about it. After stumbling upon Raisa’s blog though, it reminded me of this again and it’s cool to join their monthly link up. For this month of October, here are my favorites.
BEAUTY AND FASHION
I’ve been loving my Tangle Teezer! I’ve heard it’s a great brush and it has been used by celebrities like Emma Watson and Cara Delevigne. After watching tons of review blog posts and videos, I decided to get one cuz my hair tends to have lots of tangles especially when I wake up and brushing or combing would be a pain in the butt. This brush however though doesn’t hurt one bit and it doesn’t pull your hair! It’s gentle and it detangles so effortlessly and it just glides through your hair. It’s worth every cent, definitely a must have.
I also love the Glamour Box I received! I might do a review on it soon.
I am obsessed with Cooking Fever and Cooking Dash. It’s ironic how I’m not much of a cook in real life and I enjoy cooking games. haha. It really is fun though and I could play it all day. I also love the app Shadowmatic where you are presented with a weirdly shaped object and you will have to turn it around while watching its shadow change until you figure out what object it is.
MOVIES AND TV SHOWS
In the local scene, I really enjoyed watching Heneral Luna. The story is moving and a real eye opener. I also love Paper Towns, Me, Earl and the Dying Girl and Pan.
As for TV shows, I’m trying to catch up on American Horror Story: Hotel and On the Wings Of Love. I don’t watch TV so I’m so behind. When my co workers gush about the latter, I couldn’t relate.
Despite my schedule and tons of books on my to read list, I have finished I Was Here by Gayle Forman. It’s about a friend searching for reasons why her best friend committed suicide. It was an okay book, not really too emotional or had a great impact on me but still is a good read. My recent most favorite however is All the Bright Places by Jenifer Niven. It has moved me to tears to quietly sobbing inside a classroom. The characters are so relatable and the guy reminds me of someone. They’re so remarkably alike.
I just heard Adele’s Hello and I really like it. So much feels for that song. I also love Never Forget You by Zara Larsson, I Hate U I Love U by Gnash, and Here by Alessia Cara, which is so relatable. I’m liking all Alessia Cara songs at the moment.
