It’s time for another monthly favorites! (Even though I kind of suck from keeping up with this blog series ) Anyway, I have a lot of things to share to you which I’ve been loving not only for this month, but for the past months too. You might think, “So why is it called October faves only? Shouldn’t it be past months favorites?” It doesn’t matter, you can call it whatever you want. LOL. Okay, enough of the rambling. Here they are:
MOVIES and TV SHOWS
I have always been interested in psychology and for the last 2 years, I have been watching crime documentaries from Forensic Files to serial killer documentaries. It just interests me how certain people could do these things, how their mind works differently from normal ones. This month I have seen, Amanda Knox on Netflix. I’ve already seen the movie version but this documentary sheds a new light to this case. The Case of: JonBenet Ramsey is also interesting considering this case has not been solved after several years. This documentary will make you think of who killed this lovely little girl in the 90’s. You can see it on YouTube. Currently, I have been watching a show on Netflix called Killer Women with Piers Morgan. It’s sad how there are women killers as well and their victims are often their loved ones.
My choice of movies and shows these days has been quite dark that even my boyfriend kind of got scared of me But really, these things happened in real life and we should be aware that there are people as normal as they look, would do something as disturbing as they did. Serial killer documentaries and chill!
BEAUTY AND FASHION
I’m loving The Blushed Nudes by Maybelline eyeshadow palette. Most of my eyeshadows are mostly browns and nudes, so I really like having pink and purple shades. I also purchased the Sleek Flick It Eyeliner Pen and this is by far the best eyeliner I have used. It’s easy to apply and it’s waterproof!
When it comes to fashion, I’m a sucker for cold shoulders and off shoulder tops. Girly and it looks classy.
I’ve started reading Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven and so far, so good. I also like the book No Filter which is a collection of monologues for millennials by milennials. It’s so relatable. My love for Filipino poetry heightened when I read Habang Wala Pa Sila by Juan Miguel Severo. Oh, so much feels! It even sounds better when you read it out loud.
When it comes to photography, I have discovered Color Story where it has filters which makes your photos brighter. You know how I love Candy Crush? I found something better! Gardenscape is much like candy crush but it has its own story line. I recently found out about the fitness app Carrot Fit from Corinth’s Youtube video, I downloaded it and it makes working out so much fun! It’s funny and it keeps me motivated with its reward and punishment feature. I just used it today so let’s see if I can exercise regulary, I hope this app will help.
I am in love with an artist I stumbled upon on Spotify. Her name is Ira Wolf and she has the most soothing voice! My fave song of hers is Fickle Heart. I’m also a fan of America’s Got Talent’s winner, Grace Van der Waal. She’s only 12 but she’s so talented. I particularly like her song Clay and I Don’t Know My Name.
I just have to add this video of Karel and Sean’s pre-wedding video. They incorporated a Filipino spoken poetry which was based on their love story and you know how much I love poetry. I heard they’re gonna make another one featuring their story in Sean’s point of view. Ahhh! I cannot wait!
