My New Year’s Resolution

New Year's Resolution the wallflower secrets

I’ve been doing New Year’s Resolution posts on my blog several times and in my journal as well. Although let’s face it, most of us don’t follow all the things on our list. Nevertheless, it’s nice to have a goal for the next year and something to look back to when another year approaches. I wrote My 2017 Goals last year and I have to give myself a pat on the back for following most of it, well, some of it. Why is losing weight so hard? Lol, Anyway. I have to try extra hard this year.

I have written in my last year’s post that I’m going to save. Well, I did it but I want to know more about how to make more money by saving, investing or starting a business maybe? Multiple income streams are always better. I just have to be more knowledgeable about it. I’ve heard about the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I should get a copy of that. Any recommendations of other books like that?

I haven’t been active on my blog this year and I feel bad about it. Maybe I have lost loyal readers because of it. I still feel lucky because I did get to work with few brands/companies. This made me realize that I’m not gonna give up this blog. Not because of the collaborations, but knowing that other people still read and find my blog.

Since I’m busy with work handling 6 clients, I know I can’t blog often. I can, however, blog regularly with better content. I have learned about SEO and I want to incorporate that into this blog.

Despite being busy, I still get to travel every now and then. But you know what they say about doing something you want even if it scares you? Well, this is one of them. I want to travel out of the country alone. I want to prove to myself that I can do it. I have no problems hanging out alone here in my city, but it’s different if you get to do it outside of your comfort zone. Aside from that, I also want to travel with my boyfriend out of the country as well. Or maybe just within the Philippines is okay. We still haven’t traveled alone and I want to tick that off my bucket list next year.

I have a Kikki K planner already which is super cute cos it’s rose gold. But the thing is, I don’t like the paper cos it’s thin and the size is not spacious enough. So, I bought a dotted notebook for Bullet Journaling. I have legends and December monthly spread already but I haven’t written anything on it yet. And it’s almost January!  Turns out, layouting take tons of time. So, I really don’t know what type of planner works for me. Help a girl out?

Been meaning to do a website for my VA services. I have already started on it but I’m having a hard time on branding and I’m fully booked already so I feel like I’m not ready to take more clients through my website. Having one makes me look more professional, though. I really hope I will launch sometime next year. Other than that, I’ve been also planning to have an online biz. I have yet to know more about it, though.

This year was a good year for my career. I have pushed myself to come out of my comfort zone. Before, I refused to be interviewed via Skype voice call because I’m not confident enough talking to foreign clients. I did it this year, though.   There are still times where I would decline an interview because it involves video (which I’ve never done before) or a conference call with other team members, I have missed those opportunities because of my fear. Next year, I hope to change that.

Did you know that I haven’t had a facial done at a spa? I don’t know, I’m just not comfortable letting other people touch my face. I want to do it though. I want to get my hair colored or a makeover, I want to get my brows waxed, my legs waxed, I want to have facial treatments, I want to have fake nails because my nails are too short. I hope I can finally do those next year.

What about you? What are your goals this year?

Congratulations on completing a number of your goals. Even if you don’t complete all of them, the fact you work towards or acknowledge certain things can be a big positive.

My goals are to focus on doing well at University and to be more accepting of myself. 🙂

I have a bullet journal and I must say, they are so helpful! Some of these are the same as mine! Good Luck!

I, too, am hoping to become more financially literate (and also to be financially independent). I haven’t found any books, but financial blogs have been helpful to me here and there! Most of the posts are hit-or-miss, but there are some gems in there.

Good luck on your goals for the year!
