My Daily Makeup Routine

My everyday makeup look is the “no makeup look” most of the time. I’d rather go for the natural look rather than cake my face with lots of layers of makeup. Or maybe that’s just me not wanting to be noticeable. A little makeup goes a long way though. Also, for a “no makeup look” to be successful, skin care becomes paramount. I’ve been contemplating adding an eye cream to my repertoire (the reviews of IT cosmetics seem really good). We’ll save that for another post.

Here’s the list of the products I use:

  • Naked Basics by Urban Decay
  • Tea Rose Matte Lipstick by Nyx
  • Mascara by In2It
  • Mat Magique Powder by L’oreal
  • Photoready Foundation by Revlon
  • Blush from the Bombshell Makeup Kit by Victoria’s Secret

 6 Easy Steps:

1. Apply Revlon Photo Ready foundation to even out skin tone and conceal skin flaws like dark or red spots.

2. Use Mat Loreal powder to set the foundation.

3. Put mascara on eyelashes. I usually apply two coats on the upper lashes and just a thin layer on the lower lashes.

4. For the eyes, I use Naked Basics by Urban Decay. I apply the shade W.O.S. first as a base, then Naked 2 on my crease, and Faint on my outer corner of eyelids.

5. I really love one of the blushes from Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Kit. It has a subtle corally pink color to it.

6. For the lips I use Nyx’s Matte lipstick in Tea Rose.

That’s it! Easy peasy. It doesn’t take long to apply all these too.

We have almost the same make up routine: foundation, powder, and lipstick. I apply these three as light as possible whenever I go to school. Many people say it protects the skin from the sun and smoke from vehicles. I’m not sure about this, though. When I party, that’s the time I use my mascara and blush on. Those rare times! Haha. Well, that’s it. Got new ideas from this post. Thanks, Alissa! 🙂

You’re Welcome! 🙂 Yeah, I think it helps but I think hygiene plays a great role. I want to use eyeliner but I don’t know how to use it. haha.

You’re sooooo pretty, Ali! <3 Anyway, I'd go for no-make up look. Simplicity is beauty. I can't go out without any foundation tho cos unfortunately I have pimple marks. I've heard revlon photo ready is awesome esp on oily skin.
These are great picks, Al. <3

You looked so pretty both in your before and after photo. It’s good that you keep it light and fun. Please leave your eyebrows alone. I don’t want you to end up with almost none from over-plucking and waxing them forever…

Thanks for the tips. I prefer to go bare most of the time but these will surely come in handy for those days when some makeup is required. Prefer the natural look too, I dislike caking my face with too much product.

How come it looks easier said than done? I always tried to put make up by myself but I always end up unsatisfied with it. The only thing I put on my face these days are bb cream, pressed powder and lip balm. I’m not sure if I’m just lazy or make up doesn’t really work for me.

I like to try the bombshell and tea rose lipstick.
