March Favorites

I don’t even know why I still do this blog series when obviously I don’t do this every month. Probably because my favorites stay the same for the following months. Well, not this time. I have a set of new favorites and I would love to share it with you.

Beauty and The Beast live-action remake tops this category. I love how it’s so similar to the animated version, but with the added backstory to some of the characters, it gives more depth and layers, which makes it more interesting. The movie captured the Disney magic. I still listen to the soundtrack of this movie. Clearly, I haven’t moved on from this yet.

I was browsing for movies to watch on Netflix and stumbled upon A Girl Like Her. It’s about a high school girl who decided to document her life dealing with a bully. I like how it also shows the bully’s perspective, on how she became like that, what her life is at home and how she realized that what she’s doing is wrong.

Thirteen Reasons Why. I have read this book and seeing it as a show makes it more exciting. I have seen three episodes and so far, I love it. Hanna Baker was a victim of suicide, she decided to record her story on why she took her own life on an audio recorded on a cassette tape, which will be passed around by 13 people who were allegedly the reasons why.

I was a fan of Archie comics since I was really young. My mom has a huge collection of it. Riverdale however, is a totally different story. Same characters are in it, but the theme is darker and so different from the feel-good comic version. So far I’m liking it.

Colleen Hoover fans out there! Did you know that they made a tv show out of Hoover’s book Confess? I just found out about it 2 days ago and I’m shookt! lol. Apparently, the site is not yet available in the Philippines, but download Hola unblocker and you’re good to go. I have yet to watch it, though. I want to finish 13 Reasons Why first.

I am loving my Mieroglyphs bracelet. This hand-made vegan bracelet features cork-leather which is derived from a natural bark shedding process of Oak trees. It also comes with a customized laser engraved inscriptions to keep you inspired. I chose this blue woven one with a gold magnetic clasp. You can get 20% off discount if you want to purchase from them. Just use the code THEWALLFLOWERSECRETS.

I haven’t finished a book in months. Right now, I’m reading #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso and when I finish that, I’m planning to read You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero. These books are inspirational and motivate you to chase your dreams.

My boyfriend introduced me to Tap Titans and I’m hooked. I didn’t think I would enjoy this but I do. I also love this award winning game which was free weeks ago. It’s called Love You To Bits and it’s a cute puzzle/adventure game.

What are your favorites this month?

The bracelet looks so niiiice! Do they let you pick a quote/text or do they have premade bracelets with inscriptions?
As for the month of March, my favorites would include: Beauty and the Beast movie, Tommy Hilfiger perfume which I got from Clozette, lots of lemon tea, color pens and watercolors!! Ahh, my list was so random. Haha. But it’s nice to keep track of these every once in a while. Makes you appreciate the little things.

I’m going to see Beauty and the Beast this weekend and so excited about it! The original cartoon is one of my fave movies as a kid so I’m glad it’s similar to the original. It’s interesting “A Girl Like Her” talks about bullying from the bully’s perspective – I like that both sides are covered 🙂

I don’t even know if I’ll continue to watch Riverdale. I’m pretty hooked with 13 Reasons Why. It can happen in real life. Whereas in Riverdale, it feels a little bit exaggerated.

I’ve been seeing A Girl Like Her pop up on my Netflix recommendations quite often, I might just have to go check it out. And I’m holding off on watching 13 Reasons Why because I remember the book made me cry soooo haha. But Dylan Minnette is pretty good looking, imo

The show is depressing as well, but it’s good! 😀 A Girl Like Her is worth the watch 🙂

I just finished watching 13 Reasons Why yesterday and I plan to read the book soon, too. The last few episodes broke my heart, I literally cried. huhu!

I have read the Confess book two years ago, I think. I remembered I liked the book back then but now I already forgot the story, it happens a lot of time. haha. I saw Colleen’s facebook post about it few months back. I didn’t know the site isn’t available yet in PH. Maybe because I’m always using proxy at work. 🙂
