Last week was a bit of a food ‘haul’. Like, almost everyday we eat out and stuff our mouths with some delicious treats. What can I say, I guess we sort of have a holiday hangover. There were too much food over the holidays and we crave more of it. Since my cousin’s home for vacation, she likes to treat us over dinner. It’s hard not to say yes to that. It’s fun eating especially when you’re with the right person. This is kind of a bonding time for us cousins.
Anyway, we chose to eat at Lighthouse Resto Bar which is by the way, one of my favorite restaurants in the city. My cousin hasn’t eaten here yet so we dragged her here for dinner right after they had her hair make-overed at the salon. The garlic sticks on the above photo was a complimentary appetizers and it was good.
We all ordered their best selling drink which is called Le Mint and it tastes yummy and it’s healthy too. For the first course, we ordered Josephine pasta and nachos. Needless to say, we were already full at this point but we just couldn’t ignore the main dishes.
So here we are ordering steak and their famous Lighthouse Chicken wings. Both were yummy! I managed to eat one wing and a piece of the steak but my cousins can’t even finish their piece! Out of all 6 chickens, there was only one that was eaten and two were ‘bitten’. LOL.
I guess it was too late to turn the next dessert dish which is the lava cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side cos we already ordered it. Not just one for all of us but one for each of us! What were we even thinking? I ate half of the cake though and half of the ice cream when I finally gave up. My tummy couldn’t already hold all that I’ve eaten. My cousins gave up too.
Well, we went home with a really full and satisfied tummy and two bags of leftovers which we gave to our family back home. We sure did order too much but at least we went home happy and shared it to our family too. And we had a great time at that restaurant. We were first complaining about how hungry we were to ranting about how we were so full. haha. Good times!
