Life in Photos: Channeling My Inner Van Gogh

I have a thing for skies. Sunsets. Sunrises. Clouds. Stars. Moon. Auroras. In that photo, it was cotton candy skies. I took it when I was working at our veranda. No filter needed.

I’ve been channeling my inner Van Gogh lately.  I’ve always wanted to do water coloring so I bought some art materials to feed my creative soul. I’m still learning though.

Someone very special to me sent me what he had for breakfast. Coffee and toast on a ship. I’ll be meeting him very soon and I’m so excited. Never been this happy. 🙂

I own a lot of journals already but I saw Q and A a Day at the bookstore and I couldn’t help but get one for myself. It will get me to write everyday. It’s cool how it’s a 3 year journal and I can look back at what my answers were from 1-2 years ago.

Just a selfie on a boring day. Sometimes I play with my makeup at home when I’m bored. I think I messed up my eyeliner in this one.

Got the window seat when we went to Cebu with my cousins. The flight was surprisingly short. Maybe just 20 mins. Lol. I want to travel some more, who wouldn’t?

From where I stand. Took that photo under the scorching heat of the sun. You guys should be proud of how much effort and sacrifice I have put just to get that shot. #BehindTheScenesOfInstagram

That was my first time eating at Pepper Lunch. I really like it. I mostly eat lunch alone after my class. I’m not complaining though but eating with someone once in a while would be nice.

I really enjoyed my summer trip in Cebu. Hope I can visit another beach soon.

Have you done something creative lately?

I used to eat lunch alone everyday while reviewing for the NLE and it was liberating in a sense that I could go eat wherever I want and not have detours before going back to class. 😛 What class are you taking?

I may have done some typography I posted on Twitter but really it was just words written in fancy fonts. Haha! I also made a lot of playlist on Spotify which I am very proud of. 😀

I don’t mind being alone but eating alone can be stressful especially when almost all of your fave restos are full and you couldn’t save a seat while lining up cos you’re alone :'( Anyway, I’m reviewing for IELTS. It’s expiring already and I need it again.

I’m practicing brush lettering but for now, I kind of suck haha. I need more practice. Cool! 🙂 What’s your Spotify?

Yes! Saving a seat could be difficult when you’re alone but I remember one time, I left a water bottle and something else on a vacant table so no one would take the spot. Haha! IELTS is easy, you’ll be fine! 🙂

I should follow your tip! haha, sometimes I leave my backpack too but I usually carry just a small shoulder bag sp it wouldn’t work. I have taken IELTS before but I have to do it again cos it’s gonna be expired soon. Hope I can get a higher score this time.

I don’t know either but I’m so eager to learn how to watercolor. I love art but I don’t have a gift to do it and it makes me sad. I believe practice will help me with that skill though so I’m learning. 🙂

I also have thing for skies, sunsets, sunrises, clouds, stars and moon. Everything that floats in the sky is just so majestic. I also want to have the Q&A. Answering questions a day is a nice way to start or end a day. 🙂

It is! 🙂 I don’t write on my main journal everyday but the Q and A a day requires me to answer everyday. They’re just simple questions that doesn’t require much effort but they’re fun to answer.

Also have a thing for skies, especially when they have shades of pink and blue. And I’ve always thought of buying one liner journals that lasts for years, though I’m not sure if I can keep up with the daily writing.
    Love your watercolors too!

I used to get so anxious eating alone! But after so long, it feels great knowing that I have enough confidence to eat on my own. But I totally get what you said in a comment reply about not being able to eat somewhere when its full! And Pepper Lunch is one of my favourites 🙂

I have an adult coloring book and colored pencils but I guess I am struggling with creative rut so I envy you, as well as that great watercolor work, simple but stunning. Planning to buy some watercolor tools soon. That Q & A a day journal is awesome! I’m a regular reader of this blog and I just noticed na nag-iba yung color theme which is very nice!

Hi Jessica! 🙂 Thank you for reading my blog posts. It’s important to draw inspiration from others. That’s what I do. I want to paint even though I’m not good at it so I watch tutorials or see other people’s work and hopefully someday, I’ll have my own style of watercoloring.
