Last Moments In Cebu

If you’re seeing this again in your dashboard, I apologize. I don’t know why but my post got deleted and I only knew it just now. Anyway, I miss Cebu, a place in the Philippines,  and traveling with my cousins. We’ve been planning for another adventure but for now, let me relieve the time we had at this beautiful place.

If you want to read about my whole stay in Cebu, Click here and here.

From Sumilon Island, we decided to stop by Oslob Old Church and Ruins of Oslob Cuartel before going to out guest house. It was scorching hot but that didn’t stop us from roaming around and taking photographs. Even my cousin who was walking barefoot managed to have fun. If you’re wondering why she doesn’t have any slippers on, hers got washed away by the waves when we were at the beach. haha. Such a funny story. Kuya driver lent his slippers to her though even if it was two sizes too big. So nice of him to do that.

Under the fire tree behind the cuartel

We were famished from all the swimming and roaming under the heat of the sun. We saw some vendors selling fried chicken and rice along the street and we bought some to eat at the guest house. We didn’t need any plates or utensils. We ate as soon as we got there. I think we ate for two. That’s how hungry we were.

Oslob was such a places but we have to bid goodbye. We took another bus ride to Cebu city for 5 hours. I slept the whole ride through. We were laughing inside the bus when my cousins viewed our photos on her tablet. Our faces under water with the whales were so hilarious.

It was already late afternoon when we arrived at Mandarin Plaza Hotel. We rested for a bit before going out to dinner at the Ayala mall. We ate KFC and brought some McDonald’s to eat the hotel.

Our stay included free breakfast buffet and omg. It was delicious with so many food to choose from! That’s what I ate but I took another plate with a salad, some fruits and desserts on it. It was free after all! lol

Before leaving, we swam at the hotel pool and tried their sauna. It was my first time at a sauna and I kinda liked it. I only stayed there for maybe 5 minutes though cuz my skin was already burnt from the sun. haha. We stayed longer at the pool instead.

All in all, I really enjoyed my stay there in Cebu. I hope next time I can visit there again and meet fellow bloggers who are from there. So long, Cebu.

Iphone’s cam is the best. Sometimes masyadong bulky and burden dalhin ng dslr.

I didn’t know if you’ve read my comment before but yes, I couldn’t image your cousin walking barefoot in Cebu because dang, it was freaking hot back there! And I saw the photo of the guesthouse you’ve stayed at (the infinite pool with the ocean view photo) and wow, I wouldn’t mind waking up seeing that view errrday! Haha. x

Nice photos! I’ve always wanted to go to Cebu, since my family (maternal side) is from Cebu.
Too bad your cousin’s slippers got washed away by sea waves. Good thing somebody gave your cousin a pair of slippers. Haha. 🙂 I wish I could visit Cebu too!! 🙂

So excited to go back to Cebu this November because of all the Sumilon Island/Cebu posts I’ve been reading lately! The last time I was in Cebu was during Sinulog, so it was more of the fun nights instead of making the most of my stay there to explore hehe

Just like what I told to the Cebu-based bloggers. I do really hope to visit Cebu by the time I come back in the Philippines. Cebu seems really filled cool places especially food hubs.

Lovely photos you have here Ali.. Cebu indeed is one of the most beautiful and most historical place to visit. The last time i’ve been to cebu was like 5 years ago and i wasn’t able to roam around the city because of the ‘limited time’ i got. Ugh, your photos are sooo inviting that i wanna book a ticket as in now na ‘hahabol lng sa summer vacay:)

Book now! 🙂 It’s never too late. It’s a good thing it feels like summer all year round in the Philippines.
