How I Spent My Birthday

ORDINARY DAY// It was just an ordinary day for me on the day of my actual birthday so there was no party, no cake, no people over like it used to so the feeling was kind of pretty odd to me. I chose for it to be that way though so everything was okay.

ME TIME// I decided to have my me time and make my day extra special. Went shopping by myself but unfortunately, I didn’t find anything I fancy. When I shop, I usually think about it before buying something that sometimes I ended up with nothing and that’s what happened. I’d rather go home empty handed than spending for something I didn’t really like anyway. I didn’t want to go home yet so I watched The Maze Runner. I think it’s a great movie. I went home, had my afternoon coffee and read Lullabies by Lang Leav.

BDAY GREETINGS// I was so overwhelmed by how many greetings I’ve gotten from everywhere from my family, people I know, to every social media account that I have to my blogs. Thank you so much! This made my heart swell, you guys are amazing!

POST CELEBRATION// Two days after my birthday, my cousins treated me for a movie date! We ate dinner and they surprised me with a chocolate mousse cake. They’re the bestest ever! Then we watched Annabelle and it was one hell of a scary movie. The doll is so creepy! I really enjoyed that night.

Being 23 is still surreal to me but I know this is gonna be a great year! I’ll make it better for sure.

Happy birthday, Alissa! Your birthday celebration might not have been a grand but at least you enjoyed your day. I want to watch The Maze Runner too but it’s not showing in our cinema anymore so I’ll just wait for it in the *torrent*. As for Annabelle, I’m a scaredy cat. I won’t be able to sleep alone in my bedroom again if I watch that so I’ll pass.

Thank you! 🙂 Haha after seeing Annabelle, I slept together with my cousin. There’s no way I can sleep alone.

Happy belated birthday! 🙂 Mine was a few weeks ago, and it was basically the same. Normal day, nice and relaxing, with books and tea at my favorite tea place in Caen (Memoranda, it’s heavenly) and dinner with my friends. Sometimes calm is good!

Happy birthday! I’m glad that you were able to find enjoyment in the simple things. To be fulfilled by the little things is much more important in the long run than constantly wanting grander, flashier stuff.

Belated happy birthday, Alissa! 🙂 I usually spend my birthdays really low key, much like how you spend yours this year. I dont know, I just hate the attention or the pressure of entertaining people. HAHA

Same! haha. My parents invite their friends whom I really don’t know. It gets awkward. I’d just rather spend it alone or with my cousins and friends.

Btw Thank you and for visiting my blog! 😀 x

That sounds like a perfect birthday! I prefer to go shopping on my own, I really hate shopping so just like to go and grab what I want and then leave.
