I was looking for mirror less cameras and I was eyeing on buying one of them. I’m having a hard time carrying my bulky DSLR when traveling and I couldn’t rely much on my phone knowing that I would need it for communication and taking photos or videos would drain my battery. I was really this close to buying a slightly used Olympus camera with a prime lens for a reasonable price. Do I really need it? I picked up my DSLR, mount my fave 50mm lens and started shooting anything I fancy inside the house until I went to my mom’s mini garden. I forgot how much I love this camera.
I was having fun photographing my mom’s potted plants in our terrace. Since we don’t have space in our house for a garden, we decided to put plants in our terrace instead. It beautifies the whole look of the house especially when you see the facade. There were roses, sunflowers, bougainvilleas, trees and even some veggies.
I just love the depth of field of this lens. It reminded me that I should use this camera more often. I took a candid shot of my mom while she was in her mini garden.
After I post processed these photos, I forgot about those mirror less cameras. I know I would want to have them someday but I guess now is not the right time. I spent so much on my DSLR and the lens that I don’t want to abandon it. It still work perfectly anyway. I’m thinking of bringing it on my next trip with my cousins. I cannot wait!
