Recently Bought

I think I’m gonna have this new segment on my blog called Recently Bought or this might be a one time thing. I’m not so sure. I think this might be my own version of haul posts but for this, it’s not exactly a haul since I’m just showing two items: Dream Cream by Lush and the iPhone6.

DREAM CREAM

Remember my Christmas Wish List post? This is the first item on that list. I have a very sensitive skin. I have two skin disorders which are Eczema and Keratosis Pilaris, the small bumps on my skin. Sometimes it gets so bad that I just itch all day. I’ve been trying different creams now but one that really works are Cetaphil cream (not the lotion) and Physiogel cream. But I came across this product and I’ve heard nothing but good stuffs about it. I bought it online after some research cos I don’t want to buy it out of impulse cos it really is expensive but I did at the end. It’s one of Lush’s best seller products.

I was so excited to finally have it. I love the look of the packaging. The container is made out of recycled plastic so I think it’s cool. All Lush products are vegan. This Dream Cream is made out of jut natural products like oat milk, cocoa butter, rose water, lavender and other good stuffs. At first, I was a little bit disappointed cos I was expecting a thick consistency but mine is a little runny. I think they changed the formula. The smell is amazing. It smells like roses but it’s not that powering. It just smells right. I’ve been trying it for about 5 days now. It soothes my skin and it doesn’t itch that much anymore. My KP is still there and sometimes my skin have that dry feeling and I feel like I should put more but overall, this works just fine. My eczema is not the bad kind, it just have dry patches so I think this might work on those kind where it leaves your skin red. Maybe I was just expecting a lot from this product. I guess I’ll know in the long run.

iPHONE 6

Now this isn’t in my Christmas list but I’m so glad I have it. Finally had an upgrade from my iPhone4s which I have been using for years. It’s slow now and some apps doesn’t work. I think this phone looks different from the rest of the iPhones so I thought this is a great time to upgrade and I’m glad I did. This is the best phone ever! Some of my friends who are tech savvy says so themselves. I got the gold one. I like how it looks plus it’s white on the front. My old iPhone was black and my mom who used to loathe smart phones uses it now. The size is just right for me. One of the main reason why I want to have this is because of the camera. It’s so clear and it has features like slo-mo and time lapse. For a blogger like me and for someone who loves photography, this is the perfect phone for you. I got the 64 gb so I won’t be worrying about memory which was the issue for me back then cos I only had the 16 gb. I like how the size got bigger, just enough for me plus with the feature reachability, I can use it with just one hand. It’s super light despite how big it is compared to older models. I’m just in love with this phone and I think I won’t be using my DSLR anymore.

What’s your favorite recent purchase?

I’ve been meaning to try Lush body scrub, but I haven’t emptied my other tub of scrub. I thought I’d mentioned since I read ‘Lush’ in your post. Haha! Anyway, congratulations on the new iPhone 6! I’m leaning towards getting the Space Gray version when I get to the US for a change since I’ve been using a white/silver since I switched to Apple.

Sorry, no recent purchases that aren’t necessities. πŸ˜‰

You should try Eucerin with 10% Urea. It works well for KPL because of the urea. You can see changes on your first use palang. Been using this for 4 months na and it’s not a let down to think super nkka dry ng balat ang weather pag winter & summer dito sa DXB. I’ve tried cetaphil & physiogel but they don’t work well sa bumps lalo n pag extreme weather. Walang nagrecommend sakin ng Eucerin, self-discovery ko lng. Try mo, baka mgwork din sayo. Also, if scented yang Lush cream mo, pwedeng factor yan kung bakit bumpy parin skin mo. Anyway, I know and can feel your struggle that’s why I’m sharing this to you πŸ™‚

Yep, the Lush makes my skin a little bumpy, not that much than before. I think it will take awhile. Thanks for recommending Eucerin. I hope we have that here and I’ll let you know if it works for me! πŸ™‚

I want the iPhone 6. Too bad, I just got my iPhone 5s. It’s good that you went with 64g so you have all the space you need.

It’s really awesome for the iPone 6 plus and some smartphone are also fine. For the cream, as for me, any will do.

My favorite recent purchase is a Kindle Fire HD. I got it from an online seller who buys stuff directly from the US and ships them here. I got the Kindle Fire HD for a “Black Friday Sale” price. Not only that, I also was given a “bonus” gift – a screen protector and a whole disc of books to download on my Kindle. 700+ great authors, thousands of books!

That’s great that you got the 64gb so you can store lots of photos in your phone. However, you should also consider having a backup in the cloud or in your local desktop.

What phone do you currently have? if you have the 5 or 5s, maybe you should wait for the next iPhone. A phone with a great camera feature is a must when you travel. dslrs can be bulky.

Wow, an iphone 6! It’s great that you were finally able to upgrade your phone! It’s far bigger than the Iphone 5 (which I have) and I think it won’t upgrade anytime soon unless they release an iphone 5 sized phone again with a better camera (for food photos)! πŸ˜€

You’re very lucky to be able to get iPhone 6. Though just be very careful with it since I have quite a few friends that had their iPhone 6 screen replaced because it easily breaks. Good too that you got 64GB. I also had problems with my memory for my iPhone 5. Now I can’t store photos or even apps because the iOS consumes already a lot of space πŸ™

DO you have tons of music and photos? I think that’s what mostly consuming the space. I’m taking care of my phone well but thanks for the warning. I don’t tore it inside my jeans pocket.

    Hey Alissa!

I think this is a great idea for a series on the blog. I love seeing what people have bought…is that nosey?…

I am dying to get the new iPhone. I keep running out of space on my old iPhone 4, not to mention the crummy camera. Maybe sometime this year. For now there are other priorities. Oh the joys of homeownership!

My latest handy friend I have had, in which I got it as part of my plan in Globe was Galaxy V, Samsung Duos. It has given me a lot of better service. I use the camera in my documentation activity in school, in church and even in taking a posterity pictures for my family.
