City of Smiles: Campuestohan Highland Resort

This is a continuation of the post: EXPLORING APO ISLAND: SWIMMING WITH THE SEA TURTLES . It was a long ride from Dumaguete to Bacolod City. We left around 1-2 pm after having a quick lunch at the bus terminal. It was drizzling and we fell asleep on the way. Woke up and I thought we’re almost there but guess what? A few hours more to go.  It was already dark and I was getting impatient already cos I’m tired and hungry. I mean, cmon, who doesn’t get irritated when hungry?  As soon as we were already settled in our hotel room, we went out to have dinner. It was on Manokan County and the chicken there was delicious! I regret not getting another chicken.

We went back immediately to rest to prepare for another adventure the next day: a road trip to Campuestohan and The Ruins. It was fun traveling with them, and the road on the way to those places was picturesque.

Campuestohan is a highland resort where lots of activities can be done from wave pool to zip line to hamster wheel to kiddie rides like carousel, and . There’s plenty of things to do here but we just went to try the rope course and took pictures of the place. I know, we should’ve enjoyed a bit more but we don’t have plenty of time. Maybe next time, we will. We still had fun, though!

The rope course. Below is a colorful park for kids.

There were a lot of attraction sites in this place that’s not shown in the photos so you really have to go there to experience the whole thing. Campuestohan reminds me of Disneyland with its rides and it also has similarities of that of the hobbit’s place in LOTR with its small igloo-like kind of houses, which serves as the accommodation for guests.

Despite the limited time that we had, we still enjoyed posing for photos and admiring the whole place, which for me is filled with magic and adventure.

You all took such pretty pictures! And it looks like there’s so much activities to do here! I have to visit this place, haha. The idea of living in an igloo-like house for a few days is so exciting. xD

This place looks fun! I love the pop culture references of the park. It sort of reminds me of Fantasy Land or whatever park we were supposed to have here. I dunno maybe it’s the same park they’re talking about? Lol it’s most likely different but I’d check this out if I ever go to Bacolod. 👍🏻

Oh my god! This was just the place my professor told us during her class. Last two weeks, she traveled Cebu and this week was this place. She even showed us pictures of the trip. It was pretty obvious on her that she had fun. She’s old but always on the go for travels and fun. 😃

Definitely reminds me of The Hobbit! I was thinking of what it was reminding me off until you mentioned it at the end of the post. Haha. Looks like a really pretty place!

I went to Campuestohan last summer and really enjoyed it! One drawback was that it was super peak season so there were SOOOOO MANY PEOPLE. Will definitely take note and come back during off peak. We almost couldn’t get a room because it was so fully booked but they had one left for us. I loved the breeze because it was so clean!

I’ve heard about this place! There are extreme activities here din diba? I can’t wait for your Ruins travel blog post! I hope I’ll score a seat sale someday to Bacolod or Dumaguete. How long does it took from Dumaguete to Bacolod?
