The Christmas Tag

Only a few more days left and it’s Christmas! This is the most wonderful time of the year for me and I literally can’t wait. Thinking about it makes me in a festive mood so I decided to do this fun Christmas tag I found on some blogs.

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie?
I love watching movies. You mix it with my favorite Holiday and I’m in for a ride. Home Alone never fails to entertain me. Bet I still know some of the lines by heart. Love Actually is the best romantic Christmas movie for me. It just makes me warm on the inside. I also like Elf and Eloise At The Plaza which brings out the kid in me.

2. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning? Honestly, I don’t receive that much present since I was a teenager. I don’t mind though. We don’t get to open an actual gift in a wrapper but I do receive some goodies around holiday season and I open it right away! Who needs to wait anyway? lol.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
My most favorite was when I was still in high school where all of my cousins still live in the same city. We gather every 25th to celebrate Christmas. I have a big family so it was really fun! We would take endless photos of each other, sing karaoke, and when night time falls, we would go to the plaza to see the lights and roam around until we get tired.

4. Favourite festive food?
Ham really reminds me of Christmas! Oh and roasted chicken, lechon and ice cream!
5. Favourite Christmas gift?
When I was a kid, my godmother always gives me Limited Edition Holiday Barbies and that was my favorite! I won’t forget when my dad bought me my first DSLR camera and iPhone for Christmas too.

6. Favourite Christmas scent?
I love the smell of peppermint! It reminds me of my favorite candy cane!

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
We would gather round the dining table and have a huge feast! We would also wrap goodie bags for kids in the neighborhood, have them line up and sing for us in front of our house and we would give each of them a goodie bag and some cash. My mother’s the most generous woman I know. I would like to carry this tradition.

8. What tops your tree?
A Christmas angel with wings 🙂

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) you always asked for but never received?
I would always ask for a VTech or a Furby but I didn’t get them sadly. I still want a Furby though.
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
My favorite was spending time with my family and relatives. It has always been the best part. It just makes me happy that we’re spending Christmas together. This year will be fun for sure. Most of my cousins are going home for Christmas! I cannot wait!

The modern Christmas movie which seems to be thrilling, challenging and daring to me is “Home Alone.” And my Christmas fantasy is hanging a pair of socks expecting Santa Claus to fill it up of what I have written on a piece of paper placed inside the sock.

I’ve always love Christmas, not because of the gifts exchange but because I like the feeling of everyone sitting around the Christmas tree, having a drinks or two after a nice dinner and just chatting away!

Where are your cousins coming from? Do they visit you only once a year? I’m sure you will have a good time celebrating Christmas together. Haha we wait for Christmas Eve before opening our presents one by one- like a round robin. All of us members in the family will sit near the Christmas tree and present our gifts to everyone.

My favorite Christmas movie is really an old classic “It’s a Wonderful Life”. Try to watch it. Even if I get a lot of presents in advance, I still open them with the rest of the family on Christmas morning. I do allow my kids to open one gift they are most excited about on Christmas eve. – Fred

Its the new dress, the pair of shoes are usually my expectations from my parents every Christmas season I want to receive. When I was a kid, those gifts were very much appreciated by me. Now I have my own family, those things I also give to my kids as their Christmas presents. So as with my grandchildren whom they’re 6 of them, ranging from 2 years old to 11..

Yeah, it is indeed a happy family when we’re together. And they’re enjoying so much when they receive some gifts from us, their grandparents. Gift-giving in any form is not only observed during Christmas season, but everyday I should say.

We don’t really celebrate Christmas but we have kids who believes in Santa and his gift on Christmas eve. So as parents who wants to make the kids happy and not to break their heart by telling what we believe in, we also shop and put up our Christmas tree and lights. Merry Christmas to to all. And I love to receive gifts every Christmas. tess
