2017 Goals

2017 goals

I want 2017 to be my year. 2016 was full of doubts on what I truly want in life but this year, I’m gonna try my best to achieve these 2017 goals for my personal growth and my blogging journey. It’s just nice to list down some things to achieve and it feels great knowing you’ve done all of those. Usually, I don’t really follow my New Year’s Resolution. It’s not that I don’t want to, I just suck at it. I’ll try this year, though, it’s for my own good anyway.

Working from home is not easy sometimes when there are distractions all around you. I already made a schedule but there are changes that I have yet to fixed. Juggling two jobs plus managing my own blog and social media accounts is not that really easy especially if I want to focus a little more on my blog this year than last year. Plus, I need also some me time and time with friends so this is kind of a challenge. Well, challenge accepted.

I already have the T25 Focus Workout and I should get into it everyday continuously. I have tried one video and it was a struggle to finish even half of the video! That’s how low my endurance is . I should also cut my sugar and calorie intake and eat more healthy food.

Write 1-2 times a week, read other blogs and engage more. Discover new blogs within my niche. Reach a certain amount of audience or unique visitors each month. Have a list of blog posts to write rather than having writer’s block. Vlog once in a while and include it in my blog. Say yes to blogging opportunities only if it fits my blog theme. Provide quality content with good photos.

I might be busier this year but I’ll try reading a chapter or two before bedtime. I fail to read books for the past months and I really miss drowning into words and experience a whole other life through a paperback.

Start a bullet journal. I had a hard time finding a good journal for this, though. Any recommendations? I have two other journals. One is to write long paragraphs with, kind of like a ‘dear diary’ kind and the other one is a 3-year journal where I’m required to write everyday.

Enough of impulsive buying of makeup products that I don’t really need. Alissa, you have enough already! lol. I have yet to open my own bank account and do other adulting stuff regarding this matter.

If I have to invest in one thing, it would be travel. It’s an experience that can never be replaced with anything. This year, I plan to visit nearby places first. An international trip? Hmm, maybe. I hope so but that doesn’t matter for now. As long as with the right people, wherever it may be, I’m sure I’m gonna enjoy it.

Enough of impulsive buying of makeup products that I don’t really need. Alissa, you have enough already! lol. I have yet to open my own bank account and do other adulting stuff regarding this matter. Maybe this year, instead of getting my refund back and squandering it, I’ll put a large chunk of it into savings.

This year, I wanna focus on being happy and contented, to not compare myself to others, to not rush things. It’s okay to be a little different from the others. It’s okay to go into a different path. I wish to also be more confident and to be social. I hate small talks but sometimes it’s a necessity, so I hope I can perfect that. Also, I want to spend more time with friends, and maybe make new ones. Working from home doesn’t allow me to do that but I’m thankful I have new found blogger friends  Thanks for being a part of my 2016, btw! I’m pretty sure I’ll meet new people anyway.

What are your goals for 2017?

Write everyday / Save / Travel… I feel you on those! (Except draw for me naman.) Why are makeup products so fancy and pretty kasi? I drowned in makeup when I was in Japan LMAO.

Also for endurance I suggest light jogging para hindi mabigla 🙂 Gradually mo nalang i-increase yung speed later on.

Maybe I should try jogging if I’m not so busy. Anyway, makeups really are pretty. I don’t like the Vanity Tax that they are trying to impose 🙁 Just because makeup is more acceptable now, doesn’t make they will take advantage of it.

    Great goals!
I can definitely relate to a lot of these. Time management, getting fit, updating my blog more…ect. I’m also hoping to travel more, it was never a huge part of the things I could do NOW, but now that I’ve been working more and saving more I can take small trips here and there and work my way up to the larger, farther away trips.

    I’m looking forward to 2017!

I have a weekend trip planned for Austin. It’s only 3 hrs away from me, but I’m excited to explore. Plus, Austin has a Modcloth store so I’m ready to try on tons of pretty dresses. XD
Next time, I’d like to make a trip to Disney World!!!! Then work my way up to New York, California, Chicago and then lets shoot for different countries.

I think the fitness goals are going to be the most challenging for me though, haha.

Good luck on your goals this year, Alissa. Looking forward to your vlogs and posts this year. 🙂 I do hope I could also travel this year and get fit. Not making it as a main goal though because studies first. Haha! Have a great year ahead! 🙂

Hi, just found your blog 🙂 I’m totally feeling your 2017 goals! Mine are pretty darn similar.
I thought of way too many goals at first but I narrowed it down to growing my blog and teaching yoga in at least 2 different countries abroad (although each of those require lots of other goals, hmm).

    Here’s to a successful 2017! x

I feel like time organization is something a lot of us struggle with! I’ve started bullet journaling recently and it’s been helping me out a lot, with both my creativity and time management. I use it very literally as a bullet journal – using a bullet for something I want to write about and having tasks/reminders on the side. It’s also helping me with little things I should do every day, but always forget to :p

Goodluck on your goals, Alissa! I’m looking for more vlogs from you. I’m watching a few that you’ve uploaded and I love the way you speak. I don’t know if this is the right way to describe it but your voice is cute! You’re from Iloilo and we’re not that far away. Haha. Hopefully, a few months from now, I’ll get to live (temporarily) there because I’m planning to have my review in there 😊 Wish you all the best this 2017! 💙

I want to wish you only the best for 2017 and your goals! Managing between two jobs and a blog is definitely a hard task, so I applaud you, girl! My goals for this year are quite simple and easy to achieve, I guess. I want to get a driving license, blog more, visit at least 2 new places and read 30 books. x

Good luck on your goals, Alissa! We have the same goals in a way, haha. If you’re having a hard time with T-25, why don’t you start with Hip Hop Abs or 30 Days Shred? They’re not /that/ hard but it’ll build up your endurance. 🙂

I love all your goals, they’re really similar to mine! I especially love that last personal one… I think it’s so easy to get caught up comparing to others but it makes me ungrateful and anxious…I need to be better about being patient and understanding my goals, not just looking at others

You’ve set yourself some great goals for 2017 and I hope you are able to achieve them all! I’m able to relate to a lot of them and hopefully I will incorporate them into my own daily routine. I definitely would like to read and write more, and now that I have a blog it will be easier to fulfill the latter (fingers crossed)! I adore your personal goals too – I want to be happy and grateful, and to know that it’s okay to be different as long as I stay true to myself. I also hate small talk but I guess it is rather necessary so I’d like to improve on that front too. And definitely would love to have more confidence in myself. Thanks for sharing, Alissa!
