10 Happy Things Vol. 5

Hello February! January has been pretty crazy but exciting. So many things are happening and I feel like everything that I’ve been wanting for so long is finally gonna come true. I hope that this year would really be my year. Change is not always easy but it might be the best thing for me. Here are some of the things that made me smile last month until now:

  1. My gorgeous friend Elisha shared me this blog theme and I really like it! Thanks lovely!
  2. 5 days of driving lessons and I finally know how to drive. I learned the shift stick first so that it would just be easy for me to learn the automatic. I haven’t tried driving by myself though. Hopefully soon.
  3. I bought a new black leather journal and it’s where I pour my heart out whenever I need to. Writing is therapeutic for me and being obsessed about documenting life, I write my memories down.
  4. I got a haircut a day ago and I’m feeling good about it. Having a medium length hair makes me look younger. I still have plans to color it. Maybe some caramel balayage or any shade that’s subtle.
  5. My cousins and I have a long distance relationship. I miss them but it’s cool that we keep each other in touch using group chat on Facebook. Hearing their laughter always make my day.
  6. Speaking of LDR, my guy is not in the city but we chat everyday and video call each other when we have the chance to. Good morning and good night texts never fail to make me smile.
  7. My plans to pursue my dreams abroad are getting closer and closer. I can’t wait to begin this whole new chapter of my life.
  8. It feels good to save money I’ve earned. I haven’t really splurged and it’s just nice seeing my savings getting bigger.
  9. We have some travel plans that’s gonna be happening real soon with friends! Also, me and my cousins are planning to swim with the whales in Cebu. I can’t wait!
  10. I’m just happy to be back in the blogging scene! I have been back reading some of your posts and getting active on social media again. Follow me on Snapchat: alissamags

Wow. This is so nice, Alissa. That’s really nice of Elisha. I envy that you know how to drive. Hihi. The black journal sounds great. It seems like a fancy one. #6 yes, communication is really the key for a successful LDR. It’s hard but I know you can surpass it. #8 really feels good specially when you can really control yourself. Haha. I also have a list like this every Tuesday which I call the Thankful Tuesdays. <3

Hi Jeini! πŸ™‚ Yeah, I’m glad she shared this theme with me. Driving feels so great, I think we all should learn how to drive. My journal looks fancy indeed but looks kind of artistic inside πŸ™‚

Congrats for the driving lessons! I still don’t know how to drive until now haha I have actually thought of taking lessons too, but since my papa knows how to drive naman, maybe I’ll just ask him to teach me so I can save money from enrolling to lessons haha someday, when I finally have my own car. Haha

Go for a hair color! It’s exciting πŸ™‚ I had my hair dyed for the first time last year and I’m loving it. πŸ™‚ I’m thinking of another hair color soon hahaha

I’ve been in an LDR for almost 4 or 5 yrs, and I must say you should really maintain the constant communication. πŸ™‚

Looking forward to your travels soon, hopefully you’ll blog about it! If you need more suggestions where to go, you can check this one: http://bit.ly/1nFhLVk
Cebu is one great place! There’s so many things to do in Cebu. I highly recommend canyoneering! And oh, please, don’t swim with the sharks. I discourage you, and everyone to do it. Here’s a few reasons why: http://bit.ly/1H523oN

Glad you’re back to blogging! Hope to see you around πŸ™‚

Haha My cousin tried to teach me a year ago but I wasn’t being serious if. It’s like just a game to me since my cousin is always scaring me on the road. LOL. Oh, believe me. When you know how to drive already, your interests in car will intensify more. That’s what it did to me at least. XD

I dyed my hair on my own last year but it still looks black. Maybe this weekend I’ll try treating it at the salon. I’m so excited!

My cousin really wants to swim with the sharks but I don’t know about it. :/

It is such a liberating feeling to learn how to drive! It’s the best thing that ever happened to me, just the thought that I have a medium to escape to wherever whenever I feel like to is the best feeling ever, it’s so reassuring that I can do whatever I want to do without relying on anyone but myself. I used to rely to my family or my boyfriend to take me places and now I can do it alone or with them! It’s absolutely amazing!

Goodluck on your journey abroad, so happy that you’re still pursuing nursing! I am on a very confusing path of my life right now and I am glad you know what you wanted to do with yours πŸ™‚

Thanks Cherry! πŸ™‚ Hopefully I can buy my own car someday but for now, I’ll just stick to our family car. Still a great feeling though! I hate commuting sometimes haha. It’s okay to be confused as long as you’re happy on what you’re doing right now.

Congratulations on finally learning how to drive! I learned when I was 20 (I think?), and it was out of necessity because I had classes that ended at 9PM when I was still in college. My parents thought it’s safer for me to drive than put me in a college dorm. Hahaha!

Buti ka pa marunong na mag drive. ? And I’m glad you’re able to write down your thoughts again. I used to do that but every time I read back through the stuff I wrote down, it’s so hard for me to read my own handwriting! HAHA. So I stopped. I hate my penmanship. :((

Congrats on learning how to drive, Alissa! I’ve been planning to do that as well, but somehow, it keeps getting delayed. My younger cousin learned how to drive earlier than me. Seems like my grandad is always busy when /I/ ask him to teach me. Haha.
